As i was reading yesterday morning i noticed my eyesight go blurry and the letters kind of blend together. a couple of minutes later i felt headache and sickness... shortly after i threw up. i am fully recovered now, but what could it have been?

I would consider this to have been an episode of ocular migraine which may or may not be accompanied by headache. Nausea & vomiting is not unusual in an attack of migraine. A neurologist can advise you further if such episodes occur again.
