Yes, we do. Exam of childrens' genital organs are typically done at their annual physical in older children unless they present with specific issue in genital area. Examination includes not only the location of testicles but also hernia, varicocele, and pubertal stage especially in adolescent age. They should feel comfortable to be examined and to bring up their concerns or questions to Dr.

Sure we do. I first check them the day the child is born, and don't stop ever. They are a part of body that child and doctor should be comfortable and familiar with. Testicular cancer not infrequently occurs in young men, so they should be familiar with this exam and note if something is different, say a lump/mass. I check feet and neck at every yearly physical too!
