A member asked:

Can a quantitative blood pregnancy test be wrong 3 months after sexual contact ??

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Unlikely. The hormones that turn such tests positive are created by the fetal /placental tissues and detectable as soon as 2-3 weeks after pregnancy begins. While such tests are more likely falsely negative than falsely positive, 3 months is quite long enough that a quantitative test done properly would be accurate.
