If he is otherwise healthy, he may be dehydrated and the urine is more concentrated. As the baby grows, the amount of each feeding is more. A UA may be helpful as indicated by your PCP.

You cannot change his urine smell. The smell comes from ammonia, a break down product of the protein in cow's milk. If you don't like the smell, go back to exclusive breast feeding or alternatively you may want to try a non-cows milk formula.
