Can my baby come out prematurely, or have low birth weight if i found out i had chlamydia 5 months after i got pregnant and got treated for it? how high/ low are my chances? my baby weighed 11 ounces at my 19 week & 6 day ultrasound?

Sexually transmitted infections do increase your risk for pregnancy complications, but you have acted and received the appropriate antibiotic treatment. This is good for your baby; please take precautions not to expose your baby to any more infections.

Unlikely. Chlamydia infection during the pregnancy is unlikely to lead to premature birth or low birth weight. If left untreated, infant often contract the bacteria in the delivery process and develop eye or lung infection.
