A member asked:

Is it common for teenagers/adults to struggle reading close up when wearing contacts?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Probably not; if your contact lens is appropriate to the defect in your vision you should not have problems seeing with it. If your contact lens is to correct for seeing things afar then it would not help you with reading. The contact lens hopefully is applied appropriately and meant for reading for it to help you with reading. You know about your visual defect, so use reading lens when reading.
