Chlamydia test: Usually, yes. Recent research suggests that chlamydia sometimes lingers in the intestinal tract, in which case genital or urine testing may not detect it. However, this appears to be rare, and negative vaginal and/or urine testing usually is reliable proof someone isn't infected.
