Fertility ?'s: Cetrotide is given to prevent spontaneous ovulation prior to ovulation induction with HCG injectin after stimulation of follicles and egg retrieval for IVF fertilization. Bleeding may occur since progesterone production is interrupted. See your IVF physician for an exam and other testing to be certain of the viability of this IVF cycle for egg retrieval.
