Why: Tonsillitis is an infection caused by a virus, by strep bacteria or by infectious mononucleosis. I doubt any sexual partner would want oral sex from you while you still have an active infection in your throat. Antibiotic treatment has to be completed to eradicate strep& they don't cure the other 2 causes of tonsillitis. Wait until you're fully treated for strep or viral or mono tonsillitis clears
