A member asked:

I was born with transposition of the great arteries and i take 40 mg of lisinopril once daily. i've noticed that it is hard to keep an erection when i'm 27. would this be due to the lisinopril?

Lisinopril & ED: Erectile dysfunction is rare but known side effect of lisinopril, in about 1% of men. However, discuss with your cardiologist whether sildenafil (Viagra) is OK for you. It is certainly prescribed for some people with pulmonary hypertension & thus might take care of both of your peroblems at asame time. Would involve some "fine tuning" to find optimal dosage for any combination of medications.
