Hymen.: If you are 22 years old, then your hymen has likely not been fully intact for many years. Holes develop in the hymen over time, if not, your menstrual blood would not flow from your body. Can't say if the trauma you self-induced is from your hymen or another part of your genitalia. Be gentle with yourself.

Agree with Dr. F: There is a wide variation in the shape of hymen in healthy virgin women. Ranging from a tiny hole to almost non-existence.
