Yes: Awareness of irregular heartbeat is very common. Nearly every adult experiences it sometimes. Red flags are passing out, prolonged (over 2 min) of continuous rapid heart beat, or prolonged (over 10 minutes) constant irregularity. Alcohol in any amount, caffeine (coffee, cocoa), asthma/COPD meds are common causes. Other meds can also be a factor. If persistent, ask for a rhythm monitor.
