I am experiencing chest pains when i sleep on my side and there poor ventilation and hot in the room. the pain is not burning or sharp. more like a tight chest. no coughing or phlegm. what could be the problem?

At least an EKG...: Chest pain in someone 39 years old could be caused by a number of issues but the Heart is a major Concern. Having a Doctor do a through History and Physical including at least an EKG with any other indicated studies; is top priority before attributing the chest pain to ventilation and/or ambient Air temperature as cause. Good idea to see the Doctor sooner than later.

Several things: Tightness in that situation could be due to mild wheezing @ night (asthma type situation) or possibly a heart issue like pericarditis (worse in certain positions) so a good exam of lungs & heart & possibly chest X-ray & EKG would be helpful, & maybe a trial of an inhaler if EKG & exam are normal
