Okay to use more: It would be okay to apply the ointment after bowel movements. Please note that it has steroids in it and may make the skin more prone to damage. Make sure that the child does not have hard stools. You may give the child fiber laxative, like Metamucil, and make sure she drinks enough water so that her urine is mostly colorless.
