Yes, if pregnant: Depending on the type of test, pregnancy can be determined from about eight (on a blood test) to twelve (on a urine test) days after fertilization. Allowing an extra two days for the sperm to reach the egg and the rule of thumb is that the pregnancy test will be positive two weeks after intercourse.

HPT: Agree with Dr. Leighton . Trust the test. If you have a negative urine pregnancy test 5 weeks after sexual intercourse than you are not pregnant. Take care.
