A member asked:

I took a hpt 30 days after unprotected sex. how accurate would my result be?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Accurate: Urine pregnancy tests bought from a drugstore in the U.S. Are quite accurate. They give a reliable result, if done correctly, about a week after missing a period (or 3 weeks after sex). If a woman wants to be extra certain, she can buy 2 different brands of tests and see if they give the same result.
