i've been drinking a lot of alcohol lately more than usual and now im scared to stop incase it makes me ill? will it make me ill

It can: Chronic alcohol use can lead to dependence and abrupt cessation can lead to withdrawal. Alcohol withdrawal can be life-threatening. The best thing to do is to call you doctor and work on a solution to reduce your intake to avoid withdrawal.
