A member asked:

I had a simple fistulotomy 12 weeks ago. i still have a small amount of draining from the inside wound. sometimes it is still very sore. the outside wound has healed. can this be normal to have some drainage and discomfort still?

Fistulotomy ?'s: Fistulas are usually infected secondary to rectal bacteria, and may require more time to completely resolve after surgery. See the surgeon who performed the surgery for an exam and testing to make certain the fistula is resolved.
