Prednisone: Prednisone side effects include high blood pressure, high blood sugar, hair growth, weight gain, but not usually low heart rate. You will want to contact your doctor about your heart rate; take several measurements every day and bring the record with you.

Not commonly: Prednisone causing a low heart rate is fairly rare. It’s not impossible, but not likely. A low heart rate may be due to other causes, but if you think it is causing it it’s worth getting in touch with your doctor.
