Estimates, estimates: With a 28-day cycle, ovulation is about day 14. With a 26-day cycle, ovulation is 2 days earlier, about day 12. Generally, one can count backwards 14 days from the expected start of next period's bleeding, to get to this month's ovulation day. It's just an estimate. Nature is not exact. Nature doesn't need to be exact (sperm swim around for a few days, hoping to run into an egg.)
