Possible or likely ?: Some normal women occasionally skip a cycle. When pregnancy occurs, the mass of cells that start the process begin to make hormones that show up in the blood or urine as early as ~2 weeks after conception. Lack of those hormones implies no conception. The 1st morning urine is usually the best one for an accurate test.
