Diarrhea: Young children can become dehydrated rather quickly; older children can manage for longer. The child may not wish to eat, but be sure that he is drinking lots of fluids - water, chicken soup, gelatin, 1/2 strength juice and is urinating a few times a day. If there is decreased urine output or the child is lethargic, seek medical attention.
