Comparison: Doctors are using that test to measure the arterial circulation to your legs and feet compared to pressures in your arms. Known as Ankle Brachial index. The closer the numbers in your feet and legs are to the pressures in your arms the better, but diabetes and some other diseases that stiffen your arteries can cause elevated pressures which lead to inaccurate comparison and less reliable test
