A member asked:

Why can i hear my heartbeat in the right ear? how to treat and what to do?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Lying with your head on the right side compresses the auditory canal, and allows for better sound transmission to the tympanic membrane on that side. There may be excessive "ear wax" buildup in the right side, which will enhance the apparent pulse sound. This is not abnormal, but see an ENT physician for an exam to be certain.
