Bacterial vaginosis?: The most common cause of vaginal odor is bacterial vaginosis, an overgrowth of mostly normal bacteria. BV is especially likely if you also have white/dray discharge, if the odor is fishy, or if odor after sex (assuming you are sexually active). No soap causes BV or other odor.
