I was very near the end of a comfortable walk along the ocean in south florida when i started to see stars (was early afternoon). i thought i would black out. was this heat exhaustion or sun stroke? otherwise, healthy?

Seeing stars: Most likely dehydration and vasodilation due to walking, sweating and heat. But discuss with your Dr. and describe more what had been going on that day. Check your BP sitting and standing and then after you go up and down on toes 10 times. Before and after walking. Show results to your team.
