Basics: The pill prevents egg release by keeping a constant level of hormone in your blood, maintained through regular daily dosing. Interrupting the timing by too long can allow egg release. A gradual shift to a time that fits your daily activities by a few hours/day may be better than a 12 hr abrupt switch.
