It could be a pulled muscle in your chest wall. Musculoskeletal discomfort in the chest wall is quite common-there are muscles, cartilage, bone in the chest wall and any of these structures can be the cause of discomfort. If it is a pulled muscle, it will likely go away on its own after a few days. If it continues, you can see your doctor to evaluate it. Good luck to you!
