Just been diagnosed with graves disease-should diet be important?

No: Diet is always important, but doesn't affect graves' disease. Only antithyroid drugs or radioiodine can treat it. Beta blockers will relieve symptoms while other treatments take effect.

Not really.: Diet wouldn't matter much for graves'. Just seek appropriate therapy with i-131 or an anti-thyroid medication (ptu, methimazole).
