Depends on history.: How long has it been there? Has it changed its color, shape or size? Do you have any other associated symptoms like weight loss? While a skin lesion does not warrant an urgent visit to the ER, it should definitely be promptly evaluated by your primary care physician or dermatologist.

I have a very small hard non-painful lump right beneath my skin, on my upper left thigh.On the same spot I previously had a sebaceous cyst which was treated by my GP as it was inflected. Now and then I feel pain on the same spot when I walk a lot.
