Diet: Most patients with coronary artery disease must follow a low cholesterol, low saturated fat diet. A low carbohydrate diet is added for high triglycerides,diabetes, prediabetes and the metabolic syndrome. Knowing the levels of your cholesterol, LDL,HDL,triglycerides and HgbA1c allows a better answer to your question but your cardiologist would know this information and will advise you. ?dietician
