I'll presume ur male (used word 'gay'); not that it matters, but i've had a pt in late 20's ask for help with the same high anxiety situation. Talk with closest parent first (usually unconditional loving mom): 'i'm gay, mom, have known since ? Yrs old'. Courage, man.
