PCOS 's: BCP's stop ovulation, and no eggs are thus stimulated to become cysts. Ovulation induction is often necessary to allow for pregnancy. BCP's do not affect nabothian cysts. BCP's are the treatment of choice for PCOS, and protects against abnormal cell production in the uterine lining. Ovulation can occur with stimulatory medications if pregnancy is desired.
