Bowel concerns: There can be some injury to rectum just from having a dry, hard, large rough bowel movement. However, it isn't likely that you would get a rupture of your bowel wall after a week. Massive impactions can cause ruptures. Please contact your doctor for assessment if you have a dramatic change in bowel status that is not responding to conservative measures.
