BCP's vs. implant ?: Contraceptive "implants" are progestin derivatives, and while statistically near oral contraceptives in pregnancy protection, your menses may be very irregular, causing some anxiety if your desire to avoid pregnancy is strong. Oral bcps, although more "treatment intensive" are more certain and if taken punctually will not result in breakthrough bleeding, and worth the trouble.
