Loss of smell is it flu or covid?

Either: It is a listed symptom of covid but may be present in any illness that attacks the sensory endings in the nose, including the flu.

COVID/ FLU: I agree with Dr. Ferguson. Although loss of smell or taste can occur with COVID 19, it is not specific just for COVID 19. Any other sx's? COVID 19 Sx's may include fever, cough, feeling tired, shortness of breath, muscle aches, headache, sore throat, chills, chest pain, nasal congestion, loss of taste or smell, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea.
