Dull anterior chest discomfort could be due to rib cage strain or mild inflammation, esophageal disorders, heart issues or less likely lung pathology which is usually accompanied by cough, sharp pain on deep breathing. If symptoms persist, get examined in the hospital emergency room where prompt evaluation and testing are available.
