A member asked:

Not sure if this is a silly question but is 16 breaths per minute a good sign of oxygen levels?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not necessarily: The respiratory rate is likely to be higher when you have low blood oxygen level however that is if the brain and the nervous system is working normally. It is possible to have slow rate and bad oxygen level with certain drugs or with brain damage.
