Kitchen burns: 1) IMMEDIATELY put the burned part under cold water. 2) if you have any, put hydrocortisone cream and wear a glove so you can continue cooking 3) if the burn is old, keep it moist with a cream or ointment, not a gel (most contain alcohol, though maybe not aloe) and if needed take acetaminophen. 4) if started getting better but now looks/feels worse, you could have an infection. Get checked.

Burn: Immerse under stream of COLD water. Most aloe vera gels don't have adequate percentage of Aloe Vera. Pull pieces of the Aloe Vera plant off and squeeze out the moist inner material to gently apply to the burn. If this is a deep burn than you need medical care. Acetaminophen can help with pain.
