A member asked:

How many years do you think duchenne muscular dystrophy will be completely cured??

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Maybe someday: Since this is based on an inherited defect that is present in every cell of the body any cure will take time. Present technology can offer supportive care, but has not be able to reverse the process. Selective gene splicing has shown promise in the lab setting but moving this to use in patients is not in the foreseeable future.
