Alzheimer's/dementia: It is so difficult to generalize. Even with the same individual, a lucid, clear, cogent day may be followed by several days of disorganization, inability to self care or even communicate. Most important for the care of the Alzheimer's patient is calm, steady consistency and support. Just as you might take a watch off and leave it behind in a bathroom after washing your hands....
