Can do a test: It can be hard to tell if a woman is pregnant because some of the symptoms seen in early pregnancy can also happen in non-pregnant women. A urine pregnancy test gives a very reliable result by 3 weeks after sex (3 weeks after when conception might have occurred), or 1 week after missing a period. Home pregnancy tests are fairly cheap to buy, and are sold in stores everywhere.

Several causes: If you are saying you missed your period for 3 months then pregnancy must be ruled out (by a pregnancy test). If the test is negative then a Dr evaluation (history & physical exam) is a good idea & you probably need some lab tests to check your thyroid function & other possible causes. Stress can lead to missed periods but not often several months in a row
