A member asked:

Is it possible for gonorrhea to 'form' to start with someone who has only had one sexual partner who claims to not have any history of sexually transmitted infections?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Spontaneously form?: Gonorrhea can't create itself. Gonorrhea hangs around penises, vaginas, and throats, so contact between or among those body parts can spread gonorrhea from one person to another, or from one body part to another. Always be careful when the mouths, vulvas, vaginas, and penises are in play. One cannot catch gonorrhea "directly from" another person who does not have gonorrhea.
