Actively trying?: False negatives on preg. tests are rare but can happen due to something called the Hook Effect. Basically, these tests measure a molecule called HCG, and if there are too many of these molecules, it can cause a lab glitch, hence a false (-). Do you have symptoms of pregnancy? Are you actively trying? Are your periods usually regular? I'd repeat the test in a week. Good luck!
