Have just had a 5 weeks pregnancy termination where a vacuum method was used over 34 hours ago, i did not bleed nor spot. is it normal?? i did a pregnancy test 24 hours after the termination, it showed that i'm still pregnant and showed the weeks.

About those tests...: If a woman just had a miscarriage or abortion, she is presumed not pregnant anymore. A urine or blood pregnancy test a day later measures a hormone level in the blood, and a high result means a woman is pregnant IF IT IS POSSIBLE for her to be pregnant. The day after an abortion, she is presumed NOT possible to be pregnant. A test done a few days later should show much lower hormone levels.
