A member asked:

Are there extra precautions that cancer survivors should take to prevent themselves from getting covid? is following the general public health recommendations issued by the cdc sufficient?

Covid precautions: Follow the guidelines. If you are in remission and not on chemo, your risks aren't any greater than the general public.

Maintain your health: Follow regular recommendations. If undergoing chemo or severely immunocompromised may need to isolate a great deal. Wash hands often with warm water & soap for at least 20 seconds. Avoid touching eyes, nose or mouth unless hands have just been washed. Use a face covering or mask when in public. Practice social distancing – stay at least 6 feet from others (outside of family you live with).
