I ate a package of oreo with chocolate flavoured creme that had expired from 8 months. will it harm me?

No: Expiration dates give the estimated date that the product will be best by meaning that the quality MAY deteriorate after that. It has nothing to due with toxicity or harm (same is true for most medications). If it smells or looks "off" don't eat it.

Possibly not: Junky food expiration is mostly based on period of time that freshness can be guaranteed. If the package is intact, preservers of that products tend to avoid contamination with bacteria and harmful organisms. However, after expiration date, as freshness can't be assured, safety neither. If you don't have any symptom in the first 72h, surely everything is ok. But don't do it again.
