Hi. if recurring boils are due to underlying conditions such as diabetes, would taking medication for lowering blood sugar help to eliminate the boils ? or further antibiotics would be needed?

You are right.: Getting controlled sugar would allow the white blood cells to perform better and reduce the recurrence of boils. Good hygiene is also important. Antibiotics may not be needed then.
