I burned my bottom lip on hot tea. one area on outside of lip swelled a bit, painful, then crusted white. i hit the crusty spot with toothbrush by accident and it bled and scabbed red. how long to heal and what are the stages to expect please?

Lip burn: The deeper areas will turn to a dark scab while the area heals from the inside out. The other areas will heal from the edges and initially will be more red. The swelling may last a few weeks depending on how deep the burn is. Keep the external lip parts moistened with Vaseline.
