A member asked:

I get cramps once in a while , it never lasts a whole day , but i dont get my period , i also have sore nipples , still no period , what can it mean ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No period: When a menstrual periods stop, the first thing to check is a pregnancy test. Over the counter urine pregnancy tests are pretty reliable. If the test is positive, you should contact your primary care provider. If it is negative, you may want to repeat it in a few days. If your normal period does not come back and your tests are negative, your PCP may want to check blood tests for hormone levels.
